Matt Taber and Trang Tran
November 2023 - January 2024
Matt Taber (b. 1989, Weymouth, MA, USA) is an artist, curator and co-founder of the Brooklyn-based exhibition venues International Objects and International Waters. Taber’s artistic practice deconstructs architectural systems through installation, video, sculpture, and painting; as a curator, he is engaged in a discursive survey of contemporary material culture. Taber has exhibited his work at venues nationally and internationally. He received his MFA from Columbia University and has also attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Taber lives and works in New York.
Trang Tran (b. 1991, Toronto, Canada) is a design historian, curator, and co-founder of International Objects and International Waters, and is a director at Salon 94 Design. Tran’s curatorial practice positions contemporary objects within the geopolitical and sociological landscape. Past curations include exhibitions of historical work by Kate Millet, Gloria Kisch, Max Lamb, Kwangho Lee, Philippe Malouin, and Donald Judd. Trang received her MA in Design History and Curatorial Studies at a joint program between the Cooper Hewitt Museum and The New School and holds a BA in Architectural theory and Urban Studies from the University of Toronto.
